Classical Yoga is based in the personal exploration of the relationship between the idealized self and the perspective of the true self observing the idealized self. 'Yoga' is the unavoidable yoke (union) between the forces of the physical world, and the personal choices that we make as we experience the physical world... the Yamas (moral discipline ) and the Niyamas (observances.)
Yoga+ReSet practice embodies the tradition of a movement experience +PLUS a chiropractic cervical (neck) adjustment during the savasana posture at the end of the class (if desired); the ultimate '+ReSet.'
Yoga+ReSet is a Level 1-2 Vinyasa-style 'feel-good' physical practice with scented oils + music + colored lighting + warmth (88*) to enhance the experience. Dr. Dean uses English + Sanskrit posture cues to be true to the discipline.

This 2-hour event is an interactive physical and conversational workshop interwoven with an ashtanga and hatha style yoga practice, and restorative postures. The Chakras help to organize internal conflicts into categories that make personal growth and healing more understood and accessible. This event includes an overview of Chakras 1, 2 and 3 'below the waist' social and authority energies that interfere with independence and personal growth. This workshop takes place at the Core X System Campus in Torrance, CA. Limited attendance. Fee is by donation.
Proposed Event Agenda (2 hours):
1. Introductions and intentions
2. Pranayama with a warming and welcoming chant
3. Introduction to Chakras 1, 2 and 3
4. Classical Surya Namaskar asana workshop
5. Classical Surya Namaskar practice
6. Restoring Chakra vitality: open discussion
7. Restorative asanas workshop
8. Asana reflection discussion
9. Restorative savasana
The Chakras are understood to assist in the personal struggles with power and therefore healing by managing the energy that offers us healing, or delays in healing. Chakras 1, 2 and 3 explain how we plug our perceptions and authority into tribal rules, and how these rules create agency over personal growth.
