Dr. Forester Dean's approach to patient care can be described as "Progressive Conservative Medicine." His approach is progressive because he uses current research (peer-reviewed journal articles) and current-day "best practices" that are founded in the science of successful human therapies and treatments. His approach is conservative because he utilizes non-invasive and least painful techniques with the least side-effects. Dr. Dean's goal is to get folks feeling a lot better as quickly as possible in a comfortable and logical manner based on real science, with no long-term commitments. Dr. Dean gets excellent results with any kind of joint pain or injury.
CHIROPRACTIC Medicine is performed by a doctor of chiropractic (DC) to diagnose and treat most human complaints. Chiropractors are excellent for assisting to diagnose most musculoskeletal problems, such as: muscle strains and sprains, joint problems, headaches, body pain, arthritis, inflammation and undiagnosed chronic complaints. Chiropractors can order and read: X-Rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, blood labs, and other special tests. The benefits of Chiropractic care include: (1) no referral required, (2) same-day diagnosis & treatment, (3) drugless therapy, (4) instant pain relief, and (5) friendly & personalized care. Chiropractors are not limited to the 'spine-only', nor limited to 'adjustment-only' care, although it is common. An excellent chiropractor should be able to provide significant relief in 1-2 visits.
PHYSIOTHERAPY (‘Physio’) is commonly used by athletes or active folks without a referral. Physios are concerned with whole-body integration, therefore your knee complaint will be managed along with any other contributing factors such as: a misaligned ankle due to a fallen arch, a rotated hip, a muscle spasm in the opposite glute, etc. Physios appraise "the entire myofascial sling" even if it is on the opposite side of the knee complaint. Physios use manual therapies (hands) and modalities (shockwave, laser, e-stim, infrared, others) to teach muscles to fire correctly (neuromuscular re-education) to improve function far beyond the ‘normal’ condition. Physios also provide performance maintenance without any injury. Physios can address your complaint in 1-4 visits.
PHYSICAL THERAPY (‘PT’) is prescribed by your medical doctor to manage a specific injury, let’s say an achy knee. The physical therapist will be able to ease any pain, and improve any movement problems with that knee. PT is only authorized to treat the diagnosed knee specifically. The therapy is designed to restore the knee to it's pre-existing condition. PTs use exercise and non-drug pain relief to treat a complaint. PT can take 6-12 weeks.
Sports Massage is performed by Dr. Dean, a licensed physician, who is also a certified massage therapist for the past 19 years. Sports Massage incorporates the benefits of muscle-work and joint therapy with the knowledge and experience to be able to find physiological insufficiencies that are concealed in the body causing tension, stiffness and pain. Sports Massage is similar to deep tissue massage that focuses on relieving stress and opening joints, but also deals with neuromuscular re-education to provide a faster return to play (RTP.) This therapy is 75 minutes, and is not billable to insurance. $225, pre-payment is required.
If your insurance policy provides you with 'Out-of-Network' chiropractic care we can try to process your claims under most circumstances. We do not accept international or travel insurance.

No matter if your low-back and leg pain is recent or chronic, your pain symptoms and mobility limitations can be easily resolved starting on your first appointment. The causes for your back pain must be understood by assessing and examining you as a whole person, not just from an X-Ray or MRI. Even with a diagnosis of disc herniation, stenosis or nerve impingement, you can enjoy pain-reduced movement today with our "Stacked Therapy" approach.
We take your neck and head 'aches' seriously. Neck strain and headache can be debilitating, impede productivity and concentration, and make an emotional mess of your day. The causes for your symptoms may not be known, but there are several highly-predictive therapies and interventions that can reduce or resolve your symptoms enough to make your life manageable on the first appointment using our "Stacked Therapy" approach.
The shoulder is a complex structure with lots of moving parts, however treating the shoulder is very straightforward since it is well-understood by physiotherapists. When your shoulder gets angry due to pain it can lead to upper-back stiffness and neck strain. The key is to treat the shoulder as quickly as possible to prevent muscle compensation elsewhere, and this can be done conservatively on the first appointment using our "Stacked Therapy" approach.
The hip joints are complex structures involving the low-back, legs, knees and feet; all of these structures function together and should be treated together, known as "The Horseshoe." Many times when pain at the hips is felt, the problem is not at the hips. Hips and knees need stability therapy, not simply stretching and pain-relief. Even if you have a recent injury or surgery, your hips and knees can benefit from a complete assessment and exam to determine the fastest road to recovery using our "Stacked Therapy" approach.
The ankle and foot are comprised of 30 bones and 30 joints, and must sustain constant loading under a wide variety of conditions. The most common problems with the feet are caused by insensible footwear choices and poor-posture leading to bunions, crooked toes, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, toe fungus, and athlete's foot. Recovering from an ankle or foot injury is commonly understood to be slow and lengthy, however the proper therapy can reduce your recovery time using our "Stacked Therapy" approach.
Many times the elbow and wrist experience worrisome pain, weakness, numbness and tingling. Since we rely on them for daily chores, sports, and leisure activities it is important to relieve symptoms and restore function quickly. Problems at the shoulders and neck are suspects for contributing to elbow pain and should be considered in a full assessment and exam to determine the best course of therapy. TENNIS ELBOW is not an injury, it is due to a faulty forehand stroke set-up and swing, and can be corrected in one office appointment. CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME is particularly painful, yet easy to treat with minimal therapy and intervention using our "Staked Therapy" approach.
Leg and foot numbness can cause alarm especially for older adults. Peripheral neuropathy (PN) can be explained by nerve pathology (nerve problems not necessarily permanent damage) that is not related to the spinal cord nor the spinal roots near the spinal discs. Instead the leg nerves produce weakness associated with a numb sensation due to a signal reduction that can have various well-understood causes. PN is treatable if caught early and can restore function with less numbness. PN therapy is easily done at home on a daily basis once the patient is trained to do it.
Many folks receive surgery expecting for complete resolution of their pain and symptoms. Most surgery intends to address symptoms but not function. For example: surgery for tennis elbow won't correct a player's faulty forehand swing. Unfortunately, there is no surgical "Money-Back Guaranty" so the patient must fend for themselves when the surgery fails to meet their expectations. Dr. Dean is excellent at managing surgical failure and providing relief and restoration of movement and function using a "Stacked Therapy" approach.

"I found Dr. Dean through a referral. I had 2 bad back surgeries that cost me over $800,000 out of pocket. Those doctors had no sympathy for me. Dr. Dean took me through a step-wise recovery and now I am stronger than ever!" -SC
"When I found Dr. Dean I was not able to walk or move. My back pain was not just painful, it was emotional. Dr. Dean took the time to relate with me personally. I found support and felt kindness and optimism with his care." -JD
"Many chiropractors sell you on endless back and neck adjustments. Why? Dr. Dean's first words were, "I hope to get you better in 1-4 visits." Dr. Dean wanted me better as soon as possible and at the lowest possible cost!" -ML
"Many chiropractors 'sell' you adjustments that are suppose to 'cure' everything, but not Dr. Dean. I had a complicated leg pain issue that required specialized labs that he ordered that changed my treatment plan." -SR
"My complaint went untreated for years using the usual medical insurance care. It turns out that medical care does not involve chronic lifestyle inflammation contributors ... I was making my own problem worse! Dr. Dean helped me fix my diet and now I feel so much better!" -HR
